The country boasts a huge coastline, including the likes of Hawaii and Florida, offering unlimited opportunities for both luxurious as well as affordable beach vacations. While beaches in Florida are popular for fine, white sand and activities like snorkelling, Kayaking, and Canoeing, the ones in California are popular for entertainment ranging from plush hotels, fine-dine restaurants and pubs. Just like its name this beach is very unique in its own way. Considered to be the hardest accessible beach in Hawaii to reach the shore you must hike through thick green lushes or take a drive down a narrow steep road. It does sound like lot of effort for a beach vacation, but the reward is well worth it. You’ll be welcomed by thick-black volcanic sand which is covered by a treacherous 2000-foot cliff walls. If that doesn’t fill your inner traveler’s appetite the view of Kaluahine and Waiulili waterfalls cutting through the cliffs at the sound side of the beach will mesmerize you. They are accessible via a bouilder-strewn trail along the surf.

Sunset Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
Of coursethe name gives away the highlight of the place, but that isn’t the only trick this place has it up its sleeves. It is considered to be one of the best places to big wave surf in the winter (the beach is home to the Vans Triple Crown). But have no worries as the water becomes as calm as a lake in the summer which makes it ideal for family beach vacation and snorkeling. Above all, it’s really the sunset here that seals the deal for the visitors.

Honopu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii
Who doesn’t want to visit the beach where King Kong and Indiana Jones were shot? Skull island which is also known as Cathedral Beach, Honopu is quite a task to reach. For starters, it’s  accessible only by the sea, so to get there you must swim from an offshore boat, or from neighboring Kalalau Beach (a quarter-mile swim). But the trouble is definitely worth it: Think cumin-colored sand bordered by soaring, vegetation-cloaked cliffsand, most times, not a soul in sight.

Honokalani Beach, Wai'anapanapa State Park, Maui, Hawaii
With its jet-black shore, lapis lazuli waters and thick, jungle-like foliage, Honokalani Beach is a photographer’s dream. Besides lying lazily on the "sand” actually made up of of tiny lava pebbles there’s plenty to do: you’ll find seaside lava tubes and sea caves carved into the lava cliffs along the shore. It’s wild, unspoiled Hawaii at its best, and a necessary stop en route to Hana.

Kauna’oa Bay, Hawaii
Located on the Kohala Coast of the Aloha State’s Big Island, Kauna’oa Bay is the quintessential Hawaiian spot. The 0.25-mile-long (0.4-kilometer-long), crescent-shaped beach has plenty of white sand, palm trees, and calm, clear, blue water. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, beachgoers here can snorkel or ride boogie boards. (Be careful swimming, because there are no lifeguards on this public beach.) At night, nestle into the sands and peer out into the water to see if you can catch a glimpse of manta rays swimming.

Best Beaches in Asia

Unlike the ones in USA, the beaches in Asia are not famous as a summer destination and are most commonly visited in the cooler months. Home to verdant vegetation that dots the beaches, a beach vacation in Asia is more than just sunbathing! Along with swimming, the Asian beaches are great for water-sports. The best beaches in Asia for honeymoon can be spotted in Bali, Maldives and the secluded ones in Thailand like Koh Samui and Chiang Mai. The beaches of Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Malaysia are the best beaches for families. For solo trip or a leisure trip with friends, the beaches of Goa, India and Bangkok, Thailand are the most preferred. Also, for cheap vacations, beaches of Asia are the best option!

This place has a lot of things going for it. Be it the 5-kilometer-long white beach, or a lively party hot-spot every full-moon. But if you’re more of a walk-on-a-beach kind of person, this place has got you covered. Get a compass and head straight north to the tip of the beach, fondly named as Yapak. You’ll be welcomed by tiny stalls selling many souvenirs and shell jewelry. There’s a row of empty palms where you can relax without any interruptions and do a bit of soul-searching, or just nap.

Long Beach, Koh Phi Phi, Thailand
This beach has a magnificent view of the jungle peaks of Phi Phi Leh Island. Add to that it’s a brilliant snorkeling spot in Thailand. It’s laid back vibe compliments the beauty of the golden sand and deep blue water. The secret Loh Moodee and Ao Poh beaches are just round the corner for this one. But if you do not want to miss that eternal party vibe of Thailand, you can always head to Tonsai village which is situated walking distance. We highly recommend catching the sunset here with a bonfire and some lovely music to go with it.

El Nido, Palawan, Phillipines
El Nido alone is home to around 50 white sand beaches it’s impossible to choose just one from all which are set around dramatic limestone formations and boast the finest and whitest sand you’ll ever see. The water is so blindingly blue it makes the Caribbean Sea look murky in comparison, and the sunsets? Well, they’ll ruin you for life. Consider yourself warned.

Maldives
Whether your dream beach trip consists of spending a few pampered nights in a four-star resort or swimming among some tropical fish 80 feet underwater, the Maldives are the sort of islands where either or both can come true. Situated at the Equator southwest of Sri Lanka, the 1,102 islands that make up the Maldives form 26 atolls. Every beach is white as powder and filled with numerous water sport adventure. But the main attraction remains the translucent water where no can resist taking a dive into.

Bali, Indonesia
Shangri-La, Elysium, Arcadia, Utopia and Bali are all synonymous with "heaven". The only difference between them is that you can actually visit Bali. Many travelers have never been to this Indonesian island. Yet, the word "Bali" conjures daydreams of the most fantastical landscape: towering volcanoes wrapped in a deep green canopy, sandy shores that fade into turquoise waters and curving coastlines crowned with staggered pagodas. And believe it or not, Bali rarely disappoints.
