Alabama boasts of a number of flea markets and these flea markets have a wide variety of products on sale. These markets are busy and always stuffed with vendors of clothes, antiques, books etc. Most of these markets have food stalls. They cater to all economic sections, and very often host carnivals and festivals. Whenever someone visits Alabama, not taking them to these flea markets would be really unfair to them. 1. Bessemer Flea Market

At this market, people can buy homemade goods including candles, vegetables and fresh fruits directly from the local farmers, and antique and traditional furniture and decorative items. This market is almost a decade old, and the neighborhood, as well as the vendors, is helpful and friendly. Fresh and hot street food like roasted nuts and sausages are available, and the customers can spend a pleasant evening shopping and munching. Market open: 9am to 4pm.

2. Collinsville Trade Day

It is famous for offering great discounts on household items, and fruits and vegetables. Here one can even find old magazines, vibrant t-shirts, things required for horse riding like saddles, and bridles, and livestock. This market is located in Harpersville, Alabama, near Highway 25. A wide variety of goods are available for sale in this market, including fresh produce, antiques, clothes, home décor items, tools and groceries.  This market also has small snack bars all over. Market open: 12 noon to 6pm (Fridays) and 8am to 5pm (Weekends).

Unlike most flea markets which are open mostly on weekends, this market is open on all days. It also has no entry fees and also has free parking. This market has the distinct repute of being the biggest flea market outdoors in the whole of Eastern Alabama. This is mostly an open air market, with a small covered area.  Snack areas are also present, where customers can buy street food, while shopping.
