West Virginia is a state in the southeastern United States covered in beautiful mountains and rolling Hills, which also has a rich history of cultural significance.   People mostly visit the state because of the numerous outdoor activities it offers for tourists and locals alike.  But this is not the only thing that this state is famous for; Rather it has a good number of local artisans, Bakers, farmers and other sorts of artists that work tirelessly for their livelihood.  This factor has led to a decent amount of flea markets set within the state that has a wide array of products and goods.  

 Flea markets, often termed as swap markets is a commercial area for all sorts of local artisans and farmers to sell or swap their merchandise by leasing out or renting space within the Flea market. These markets are usually seasonal or work only one or two days of a week. A massive number of people living in the vicinity, as well as tourists in the state, do not miss an opportunity to visit and shop in one of them.

1. Capitol Flea market 

Located in Charleston, this market is often known as Charleston Flea market and works throughout the year. It has around 250 dealers selling all sorts of items including new, used, antique, and vintage merchandise.

2. State Fair of West Virginia Flea market

 The state fair of West Virginia is famous for the year-round season specific organization of its Flea market.   While the indoor Flea market takes place in the winter season, the Flea Market moves outside during the summer season. During spring and the fall, Flea Market revamps into the Giant Flea market and antique show and attracts a considerable number of vendors and visitors alike.

3. East Side Indoor Flea market

With an area of 2500 square feet of indoor Flea Market space, this locally owned and operated   Flea market located in Fairmont has a vast crowd flocking in every weekend.  The vendors that come here for trading mostly consist of local collectors and artists.

4. Aunt Gins Trading Post

Aunt Gins Trading Post is a Flea market in Hedgesville that works throughout the year.  This market, mainly located indoors also have outdoor booths available seasonally. The market usually starts at 9 A.M, but on Thursdays and Fridays, it begins at 10 a.m.

6. Towne square Flea market

 Towne square Flea market located in Parkersburg is an indoor facility that is open only on Saturdays and Sundays.  This place features a variety of vendors and has space to accommodate even more vendors.

7. Pence Springs Flea market

 This market is different from the other Flea market because of its location.  The site of this commercial area once used to be a spring house built in the 1800s. This indoor Flea market works throughout the year and the week except for Thursdays.  Located in Littleton this market is also known as the Littleton Flea market.

9. South Fork Odds-n-Ends

The Moorefield Flea market commonly known as South fork odds-n-ends is a Thrift Store and an indoor Flea market. Working on four days of the week from Wednesday to Saturday; it has different timing for each day.

13. Harpers Ferry Gypsy Market

This market is the only vintage and antique market, Auction House, seasonal Flea market, and shed dealer located on a 5-acre lot.  The auction services offer you a variety of packing up and picking up services.  The market also provides custom dog kennels and garages according to the need of the vendor.

14. Mitchem’s Indoor/Outdoor Flea Market

This market has grown out to be the area's most visited Flea market with more than enough space to accommodate all sorts of vendors indoors.  Collectibles, glassware, baked goods, toys, linens and lot more. One would enjoy spending the weekend in this well-kept and family-oriented atmosphere.

Knives, leather belts, tools, Infant and toddler clothes, T-shirts, knick-knacks, and what not, this place has all of it. BJ’s free and variety market is a must visit the site for all of the items that you won't usually find in other stores.
