Known for its ultramodern architecture and luxury shopping, the city of Dubai is one of the most frequented tourist destinations in the world. Shopping is like the favorite activity of the locals here, so much so, that they have an entire, dedicated shopping festival in the month of January every year – The Dubai Shopping Festival.

 In the deserts of United Arab Emirates, offering visitors with a plethora of goodies, from electronics to jewelry to fashion, Dubai is indeed an oasis for shopaholics. It thus comes as no surprise then, that every year, thousands of tourists throng the markets of Dubai for a much-needed dose of retail therapy. If you ask me, I believe that when you visit any place as a tourist, you should get to discover all the different shopping experiences that the place has to offer, rather than just sticking to visiting famous shopping malls. 1 - Dubai Mall

Despite the fact that Dubai consists of a wide array of ultra-modern and luxurious malls, no other shopping complex comes even close to the Dubai Mall when it comes to providing visitors with a complete shopping experience. Considered to be the world’s largest shopping, entertainment and leisure destination, this humungous mall located near Burj Khalifa consists of more than 1200 luxury and premium brand stores! 

Apart from the staggering number of shops, this shopping center also boasts of a spectacular four-storeyed waterfall, a gigantic indoor theme park, a huge aquarium and countless number of food outlets. Visitors, get ready to be awestruck with the sheer size of this colossal place!

I am sure everyone would agree, gold occupies the topmost spot on the list of things to buy in Dubai for cheap!  A traditional Arabic Market centered around a pedestrian street, this market consists of innumerable shiny shops selling every imaginable gold item- from gold bars to gold jewelry. Rarely would you find any other place selling gold at rates as cheap as those found in Gold Souk. 

Earlier the Gold Souk market consisted of scattered gold shops; now, in addition to the street shops, a modern two-floored building has come up in this market. The best part of this market, apart from the huge variety, is the fact that there is no tax applied on the gold sold here! Also, don’t forget to bargain and haggle when purchasing products from this place.
