They also have a Christmas Tree Light Show which illuminates a 27-foot tall tree right in front of the Nautilus Amphitheater. 2. Visit the Morgan’s Wonderland Christmas
Morgan’s Wonderland has activities that enhance family bonding and are fun-filled at the same time too. The entire area is decorated with Christmas lights that bring the place to life. There is ample amount of activities to entertain your kids and keep them happy. They have the petting zoo and the ice skating rink which will fill your evening with fun and frolic. You can also take pictures with Santa as he makes his appearance during the holiday entertainment. The admission fare is $11 to $17 depending on the age group and the activities.
3. Attend the Christmas Light Fest at the Don Strange Ranch
Hop into your car with your family and drive through the ranch to enjoy the fabulous display of lights and colourful decoration, all while seated comfortably in your car. The light show displays more than two million dazzling lights, tunnels decorated with holiday lights, and other holiday decorations displayed along a two-mile path. Pay a visit to Santa in his village which is filled with holiday spirit. Go shopping and buy the most creative products to give away as Christmas presents. The admission price is $27 per vehicle.
4. Take the River Walk
The most famous event of San Antonio is the River Walk along the San Antonio River. The lights stay on from dusk to dawn every day starting right after Thanksgiving till 2nd January. The illuminated water caused by the reflection of thousands of lights is just what your family needs to experience the Christmas cheer. The lights blanket the cypress trees and light up the entire place giving a festive scene. The public can access the spectacular lights for free as it is a gift from the San Antonio River Walk Association to the city of San Antonio.
5. Go to the Elf Acres
This is a drive-through light show that is spread across 15 acres of land. Sit in the comfort of your car and enjoy the beauty of thousands of lights as they bring the surroundings to life. The admission charge per vehicle is $25.
6. Watch the amazing Zoo Lights
The San Antonio Zoo is decorated with a vast range of lights and offers activities that will be enjoyed by the kids and adults. It is a perfect spot for family outings and has provisions for ice skating and camel rides. The Zoo Lights display is included in the admission fee, but there may be extra costs for other activities such as rides and skating. The admission fee depends on the age group and the number of activities you want to perform.
7. Visit the Son’s Island
Son’s Island is in the middle of Lake Placid and has a tropical trail of lights on display. It has an amazing display of Christmas lights and sound. The magical Christmas tour of this Island is sure to get your family in a festive mood. They have marshmallow roasting, live entertainment, carolers singing the carols and pictures with Santa and his sleigh. The admission fee is $25 - $35 per car.
