San Antonio in Texas is your perfect Christmas destination as it has several exciting places that go big during the holiday season! The whole city starts showering their houses and other prominent landmarks with thousands of glittering lights that add cheer to the surroundings as well. 1. Visit the Sea World

Sea World hosts the largest display of Christmas lights in San Antonio with more than 9 million twinkling lights. Take a tour of Sea World by foot to 15 different lands, each of which has its own unique holiday twist. They also have a Christmas Tree Light Show which illuminates a 27-foot tall tree right in front of the Nautilus Amphitheater. Kids and adults groove to the holiday music being played as they greet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his friends. No doubt it is one of the top Christmas events in San Antonio! 

2. Visit the Morgan’s Wonderland Christmas

Morgan’s Wonderland has activities that enhance family bonding and are fun-filled at the same time too. The entire area is decorated with Christmas lights that bring the place to life. When you are looking for Christmas celebrations in San Antonio, this is the place to be! There is ample amount of activities to entertain your kids and keep them happy. They have the petting zoo and the ice skating rink which will fill your evening with fun and frolic. You can also take pictures with Santa as he makes his appearance during the holiday entertainment. 

3. Attend the Old West Christmas Light Fest 

Hop into your car with your loved ones and drive through the ranch to enjoy the fabulous display of lights and colorful decoration! This is considered to be one of the delightful San Antonio December events. The light show displays more than two million dazzling lights, tunnels decorated with holiday lights, and other holiday decorations displayed along a two-mile path. Pay a visit to Santa in his village which is filled with holiday spirit. Go shopping and buy the most creative products to give away as Christmas presents. 

4. Take the River Walk

The most famous event is definitely the San Antonio River Walk Christmas lights! The lights stay on from dusk to dawn every day starting right after Thanksgiving till the 1st week of January. The illuminated water caused by the reflection of thousands of lights is just what your loved ones need to experience the Christmas cheer. The lights blanket the cypress trees and light up the entire place giving a festive scene. The public can access the spectacular lights for free as it is a gift from the San Antonio River Walk Association to the city of San Antonio.

5. Go to the Elf Acres

This is a drive-through light show that is spread across 15 acres of land. Sit in the comfort of your car and enjoy the beauty of thousands of lights as the whole area will dazzle you with its sparkling beauty. It is set to start from 20th November and will continue till 29th December. So, when you are interested in experiencing the best Christmas in San Antonio, this should be on top of your list! 

6. Watch the amazing Zoo Lights

The San Antonio Zoo is decorated with a vast range of lights and offers activities that will be enjoyed by the kids and adults. It is a perfect spot for family outings and has provisions for ice skating and camel rides. The Zoo Lights display is included in the admission fee, but there may be extra costs for other activities such as rides and skating. The admission fee depends on the age group and the number of activities you want to perform.

7. Visit the Son’s Island

Son’s Island is in the middle of Lake Placid and has a tropical trail of lights on display. It has an amazing display of Christmas lights and sound. The magical Christmas tour of this Island is sure to get your family in a festive mood. They have marshmallow roasting, live entertainment, carolers singing the carols and pictures with Santa and his sleigh.
