1. New Era High School:

 

Remember cute little Ishaan Nandkishore Awasthi from Taare Zameen Par? The New Era High School in Panchgani doubled up as Ishaan’s boarding school in the movie. This is where he meets his inspirational teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh. And who can forget the tear jerking song ‘Meri Ma’?!

 

2. Symbiosis Institute:

Providing a perfect backdrop to the love story of Salman Bhai and Kareena Kapoor in the movie Bodyguard, the Symbiosis Institute’s Lavale campus in Pune can also be seen in the rom-com movie Mujhse Fraanship Karoge?!

3. Indian Institute of Mass Communication:

Remember the college in Raanjhanaa where Zoya and Jasjeet meet and fall in love all the while protesting against everything that is unfair in the society? The scenes were shot at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication situated in Delhi.

4. Forest Research Institute:

Dehradun’s Forest Research Institute has been known to host many film shootings. If you have watched Student of The Year, Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein or Paan Singh Tomar, you will find the college at the back drop of these movies.

5. Indian Institute Of Management, Ahmedabad:

 

Offo! Isse isse daant ke bhagaaun, Offo! Ya ya seenese lagaaun’ croons Alia Bhatt while in college in the movie 2 States. To be loyal to the book of the same name, all the college scenes from the movie were filmed at the Indian Institute Of Management, Ahmedabad.

6. Ramjas College:

When Manoj Sharma goes to Delhi University to give a speech, that’s where he first sees Kusum out there in the sports field. And a quirky love story unfolds! Kusum’s college scenes were shot in the Ramjas College in Delhi. Wondering where else have you seen the college? Does the college from ‘Hoshwalon ko khabar kya, bekhudi kya cheez hai’ ring a bell?!

 

7. Indian Institute Of Management, Bangalore:

Some scenes from the blockbuster movie 3 Idiots were filmed at the Indian Institute Of Management, Bangalore. All izz well, all izz well!

8. Fergusson College:

Directed by legendary film maker Rajkumar Santoshi, a few scenes from the epic movie The Legend of Bhagat Singh were filmed at Pune’s Fergusson College. Infact, the movie was also filmed at other colleges in Pune, namely, the Bhandarkar Institute and the College of Agriculture.

9. Delhi University:

The Delhi University has been the backdrop for many Bollywood movies! Prominent ones being Rockstar, Rang De Basanti, Band Baaja Barat and Fukrey.

10. Indian Military Academy:

The institute where Hrithik Roshan’s character in the movie Lakshya goes from being a lazy, lanky boy to being a confident and muscular army man is the Indian Military Academy situated in Dehradun.

11. Lucknow University:

The movie Ishaqzaade was a brilliant adaptation of the classic Romeo and Juliet.  The college scenes from this passionate love story of two rebellious people were filmed at the Lucknow University.

12. St. Xavier’s College:

The St. Xavier’s College has always been host to many film and advertisement shootings. Right from hosting popular brands to being at the centre of movies such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the college can be seen at the backdrop of many such filming events.

13. St. Pauls School:

'Kiska hai ye tumko intezar main hoon na, dekh lo idhar toh ek baar main hoon na'! Remember the huge college campus in the movie Main Hoon Na? The St. Pauls School at Darjeeling doubled up as the college campus for the movie.
