How would you describe a perfect beach holiday? Well for the most of us, it is either building a sandcastle, or playing a game of volleyball, hunting for seashells, or taking long romantic walks along the shoreline, working on getting that perfect tan, or taking a dip in the waters! Then there are a few who would say they just want to lay on the beach all day, sigh at the sun-bronzed ocean waters and enjoy their favourite beer. While most public beaches in Florida prohibit alcohol consumption, there are a few beaches that allow responsible alcohol consumption.

1. Cocoa Beach, Florida

Home to the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame, Cocoa Beach in Florida has got some of the best surfing spots in the country. Walk on the pier, or park yourself on the shore, or maybe ride a wave; Cocoa Beach is cherished for being one of the best hangout beaches in Florida. Now even though Cocoa Beach allows alcohol on the beach, glass bottles are against the law. And so are animals and fireworks.

2. Panama City Beach, Florida

3. Playalinda Beach

Located close to the Kennedy Space Centre within the Cape Canaveral National Seashore, Playalinda Beach is famous for two things: Alcohol and topless beach-bummers. 11. Treasure Island

Also, located just a mile away from this beach is the “Gators Cafe & Saloon” which is often touted as the world's longest waterfront bar. Treasure Island is one those St. Petersburg beaches that allow alcohol consumption on the beachfront. But do note that drinking is not allowed on Saturdays and Sundays between 8 A.M. and 4 P.M.
