E-visa Policy In India: The Next Thing To Make Incredible India a Hot International Tourist Destination!

There is absolutely no doubt for the tourism quotient of India! Its one of those countries in World that houses an immense treasure of cultural structures, ethnic groups and a vibe that can hardly be found anywhere else on this globe. In the past few years, India has seen a tremendous rise in its tourism influx thanks to the initiatives taken by Government, the recent one being the online visa scheme which is basically an E-visa policy in India which will help India boost its tourism. The incredible miracle has already happened! From a position of 65th rank in the tourism and travel competitive index as per the world economic forum report, we have risen to 52nd rank. Hurray!
Now some stats here to substantiate what we are saying! In 2015, India attracted about 70 lakh tourists at a growth of 4.5%. However, during December, 2015, a total of 1,03,617 tourists arrived on e-tourist visa as compared to 14,083 during December, 2014, that meant a whooping growth of 635.8%.
So which are the major countries that are ready to embark to India? Here comes the answer: the highest number of tourists came from the UK followed by the United States, Russia, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, China, Republic of Korea and Ukraine!
There is a certain intervention that the e visa India scheme has brought in defining the shape of India’s tourism potential, however other factors such as the peaceful image of the nation also come into foreplay when we define India’s tourism today but it has been told the the e visa experience will be promising.
Thanks in part to its booming IT and outsourcing industry a growing number of business trips are made by foreigners to India, who will often add a weekend break or longer holiday to their trip. Foreign tourists spend more in India than almost any other country worldwide. Also comes the role of the Tourism Ministry that has led to the development of the industry. With the help of initiating advertising campaigns such as the 'Incredible India' campaign, which promoted India’s culture and tourist attractions on the tourism map, we have come a long way. The campaign helped create a colorful image of India in the minds of consumers all over the world, and has directly led to an increase in the interest among tourists.
