One of the widely celebrated festivals in Nashville is Halloween. People of all religions and casts celebrate Halloween in Nashville, and every person tries to maintain the spirit of the festival. During the Halloween celebration in Nashville, many events take place that includes parties, trick or treat, ghost walks, and fests. If you are visiting Nashville during the Halloween season, here are a few events that you can attend!
Halloween Events for Kids
1. Boo at The Zoo
The Nashville Zoo has the best Halloween celebration for kids. Children can participate in the ten-night long Halloween in Nashville celebration where they can participate in activities like the enchanted village, frightful farm, trick-or-treat in the zoo, carousel rides, hayrides and much more. Children have to be accompanied by an adult for the event.
Admission - The tickets are available on the website of the Nashville Zoo, usually a few days before the event starts. The tickets can also be bought from the zoo itself.
2. The Spooky Stroll
As the name suggests, this is a trick or treat event where parents and children dress up in their costumes and take a stroll through the city collecting candy. The children are provided with a bag and a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt before they start the stroll. Additionally, you can also see performances by jugglers, musicians, and other artists.
Admission - The ticket costs anywhere around USD 35 per person. Popcorn and goodies are included in the price.
The Pumpkinfest is one of the oldest traditions that takes place every year on Halloween. This is the festival for all the families to come together and celebrate Halloween in the city of Nashville. Each year, over 65000 people attend the festival. You will find food and activities such as pony rides for the kids, face painting, bouncy house and much more at the pumpkin fest. Additionally, you can also have your kids participate in the Pumpkinfest fashion show where the best costume is rewarded. For the adults, there is music, art & craft and much more.
Admission - The entry to the fest is free. However, you will have to pay to participate in the competitions and the other activities.
4. Pooch Parade
Another one of the recurring events during Halloween celebration in Nashville, the Pooch Parade is a dog fashion show. You can dress up your furry friend and participate in the parade where you will find some of the cutest looking animals in their Halloween costumes. It is all about the dogs walking on the streets in their costumes, food, and music. There are special treats designed for the animals which they will love to dig into. This is a charity event, and all the funding from this event goes to the Nashville Humane Association.
Admission - The entry to the parade is free. However, people are encouraged to donate to the cause during the parade.
5. Halloween At the Mansion
Another annual event is the Halloween at the Mansion. This is a big celebration on Halloween in Nashville at the Two River Mansion. The activities include storytelling, trick-or-treating, hayrides and pumpkin painting. It is a fun way for the kids to join their families and know about the tradition of Halloween.

1. The Haunted Hell Nashville
The Haunted Hell Nashville is one of the scariest things you will witness this Halloween in the city of Nashville. This is a haunted house experience for the ones who like thrill and adventures. This is a 22,000 square foot haunted house where you will find different areas that have various activities for you. You will encounter some horrifying creatures on your way out of the house. There is an old plantation home which is the scariest part of the haunted house and has to be crossed if you want to get out of the house.
Admission - The haunted house is only open to adults, and the tickets cost USD 18 to USD 20.
2. The Andrew Jackson's Hermitage Ghost Tour
The Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Ghost Tour is by far the best kind of Ghost tour in Nashville. The reason for this is that the guides take you back to the history and to the events that happened at some point in the past. You will learn a lot about the mansion and the tomb of President Jackson. There are also some spirits that have been spotted at the property. Be aware, or you might spot one for yourself! This is a 90-minute tour and is only for adults.
Admission - The tour takes place twice every day during Halloween in Nashville and the ticket costs around $35 per person.
3. The Haunted Museum
The Haunted Museum tour is another haunted tour that takes place in the Nashville Museum during the Halloween festival. In this tour, you will experience a ghost trail all around the museum where you can find activities such as crafts, prizes and much more. In addition to this, you will also hear a lot of spooky stories from the past. The haunted museum tour is for adults as well as children of all ages.
