23. Roobaroo (Rang De Basanti)

The song opens with a guitar piece and continuous to build up the rhythm, throughout. Apart from A.R.Rahman’s music, what makes this song an all-time- favourite is the thought behind each of its words. The song resonates with my idea of travel, where familiar is good, but new is exciting!

24. Hum dono do premi (Ajanabee)

The song is about two lovers, escaping and eloping their world, just to be with each other. The song is sung by legendary singers Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. It has the true essence of embarking on a journey and enjoying it, instead of rushing through it!

25. Yeh Haseen Waadiya (Roja)

The song is picturised over a beautiful panorama of snow-clad peaks and the lyrics of the song elaborate the same. What makes this one a great road trip song is its music, especially if you are travelling somewhere up in the mountains! The song also has a sensuous feel to it, making it ideal for a honeymoon road trip as well!
