Other than 110+ countries mentioned above, there are certain cases where a visa is not required to enter Mauritius. These scenarios are - 

  • If you are a citizen of Mauritius
  • If you are a spouse of a citizen of Mauritius
  • If you are a resident of Mauritius under the Immigration Act
  • The child/stepchild/lawfully adopted child of persons who are residents of Mauritius or those who are residents of Mauritius under the Immigration Act

There are more than 65 countries right now eligible for Mauritius visa on arrival. This visa is generally valid for 2 weeks or 2 months. 4. Which countries require a visa to enter Mauritius?

Only 16 countries need to apply for a visa prior to travel. These are -

If you are applying for a Mauritius tourist visa, you need a valid passport with an expiry date that is beyond the date of your intended stay. Even if it is not specified, make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the date of your departure from Mauritius. 

Other documents required for Mauritius visa are -

  • Visa application form filled and signed by the applicant.
  • 2 passport-sized photographs of the applicant.
  • Copy of data pages of the passport of the applicant. 
  • Return ticket booked in advance. 
  • Confirmed accommodation booking for the entire stay. 
  • Enough funds to cover the cost of stay i.e. at least USD 100 for per day.
