It is not the beach that is a naturist, it is the town. Want to do naked grocery shopping? Ever wondered if you can enjoy your dinner at a restaurant without wearing any clothes? Head to Cap d’Agde to do it all and more! Possibly the only naturist town in the world, visit Cap d’Agde to let go of all the hesitation.

Hedonism II is basically a nudist resort in the town of Negril. It is a perfect place to let your hair (and clothes!) down while enjoying the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea as well as interesting activities offered by the resort. But, keep in mind that this adult-playground is highly recommended if you have any experience of going the nudist way.

3. Paradise Beach, Greece

Taking your clothes off while sunbathing is one thing and doing the same while dancing the night away, is another. But, when you are at Paradise Beach, that is exactly what you should do. This nudist beach stands true to its name as it welcomes one and all with open arms. Just keep an eye on signs that divide clothing-optional areas.

4. Samurai Beach, Australia

Yes, Samurai is a nudist beach in Australia and no, it is not family-friendly as many believe.  From last many years, it is a peaceful abode for those who love practicing naturism. The beach is secluded, the shores are long, and the sand, powdery. That is all you need to enjoy a comfortable holiday where you can bare it all.

5. Praia do Pinho, Brazil

Praia do Pinho is a perfect place to go naked and go skinny-dipping for the first timers. This beach is first of its kind in Brazil where privacy is guaranteed and ethical standards are high. There are campsites where you do not need to get rid of your clothes. So, if you are a nude beach beginner, start from such areas and gradually go towards the sand.

6. Hanlan’s Point, Canada

Hanlan's Point Beach is officially the clothing-optional beach in Canada that has gained popularity over the years. This nudist-friendly place is also loved by the gay community and is usually frequented for sunbathing. It is entirely your choice here if you want to wear a bikini or your birthday suit.

Elia Beach is comparatively less crowded than other beaches of Mykonos and follows the ‘optional clothing’ policy. It is one of the LGBTQ-friendly beaches where families usually sunbathe on the left side and naturists prefer the right side. If you are going nude for the first time, the sides will give you a chance to ease into it.

8. Gunnison Beach, USA

Gunnison Beach is the only nude beach in New Jersey and is known as the largest clothing-optional recreation area. If you are awkward about nude sunbathing or walking around, this beach is a great place to start at. With numerous naturists around, you will feel more comfortable.

But, keep in mind that the same rules that are applicable on any other beach are relevant at clothing-optional beaches in the world. Some basic do’s and don’ts of nude beaches are - do not stare, do not photograph without permission, and strip down only within the designated areas. And the most important of all - Keep the towel handy. (Or else, there will be sand, everywhere!)
