7. Puri to Konark
One of the best road routes in India, this short and sweet trip through Orissa that wont take too much out of you is the best trip you'll ever make. The journey lasts only an hour and will take you through a scenic and almost surreal route that is going to stay with you forever! The trees on either side of the road and the pleasant breeze will make for a fun-filled, journey through the Balukhand-Konark Reserve Forest!

The best road trip in South India, Munnar to Chennai is spellbinding with Munnar being its gorgeous self, but the road journey there is going to make for a trip that you wont forget any time soon. The 600 km route is made up of lovely, winding roads and absolutely pleasant weather: the perfect lush escape from a dreary life in the city! 4. Jaipur to Ranthambore
This road trip is a must for those who call themselves nature enthusiasts. You get to cover a distance of about 145 km in 3 hours. As you journey through the pink city, on towards Ranthambore, load up on some rustic knowledge when you pass many small Rajasthani villages along the way. You could stop midway at the Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary to get a taste of the wild. Your final destination should be the Ranthambore National Park: a 392 sq km area where the variety of flora and fauna will wow you and you might even get to see a tiger!

3. Mumbai to Pune
The Mumbai-Pune expressway was Indias first six-lane, high speed concrete tolled expressway and it spans a distance of about 95 km. The road passes through the lush green and picturesque Sahyadri mountain ranges and is the perfect drive especially during the rainy season (if you drive carefully!) when you will see so many beautiful little waterfalls along the way! Its greenery and magnificence will take your breath away! Dont forget to stop for some chocolate fudge at Lonavala!

2. Guwahati to Tawang
Northeast India is largely unexplored by travellers from our country. If you long to see what this area has to offer, you should jump at the chance of a road trip between Guwahati, Assam and Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. You travel a distance of around 520 km in around 10 hours. The journey is challenging, so we recommend that it should be undertaken by experienced drivers only. Youll get to see the Northeast from an entirely fresh prospective!

1. Manali to Leh
If you're looking for the best bike road trip in India, you are at the right place! The highway from Leh to Manali spans around 490 km and you will experience an average elevation of more than 13,000 feet! Get ready for some altitude sickness, because the highest elevation of this route is more than 17,000 feet at the Tanglang La mountain pass. You will cross snow-capped mountains, beautiful bridges and many streams. The highway is only open for during the summer months and in mid-October because rain and snowfall play havoc with roads at high altitudes! This one is meant for experienced drivers only though, but it will make for one memorable journey!
