13 Beautiful Secluded Beaches To Visit In Goa
Having a very stunning coastline, Goa has always been a coveted destination for beach bums. Tourism has practically taken over Goa and it is a rare phenomenon to find empty beaches in the state! To escape the hordes of beach goers, here are 13 secluded beaches in Goa where you will find very few people, or better yet, nobody!
1. Caranzalem Beach:
Located towards the west of Miramar beach, Caranzalem Beach is a beautiful beach with a shoreline of 3.5 kilometres. Perfect for swimming, you will find Palms and Casuarina pines lining the beach. There are also a few shacks and the beach offers water sports activities as well.

With a spectacular uninhabited shoreline, the Cola Beach is a perfect one for people seeking an idyllic setting for complete relaxation. It is located towards the south of Canacona.
3. Vainguinim Beach:
Located near the Dona Paula beach, the secluded and pristine Vainguinim Beach lies towards the southwest coast of Tisvadi province. Lined with ‘kevda’ shrubs, when the plants bloom, the entire beach is enveloped in a heavenly smell.

4. Kakolem Beach:
A small beach cove situated towards the south of Cabo de Rama, the Kakolem Beach is one of the most secluded beaches in Goa. It is accessible either by a tiring hike or by private speedboat/ yacht.
5. Siridao Beach:

A rugged beach, this is a fantastic place to take leisurely strolls and watch a stunning sunset. The Siridao Beach is situated near the Zuari river estuary, a few kilometres from Panaji.

A seasonal nesting and hatching site for the endangered Olive Ridley turtles, the Galjibag beach is located towards the south of Talpona river estuary. It is a part of the state forest department.
7. Grandmother’s Hole Beach:

A gorgeous beach made up of soft sands, clear waters and tranquillity, the Grandmother’s Hole Beach is accessible through a gap in the fort walls of Forte de Santa Catarina. According to folklore, a grandma used to sit at this gap (a ‘hole’ in the wall) and await her sons’ return from the sea. Hence the name. Enjoy a peaceful vacation on this secret beach!!
8. Hollant Beach:
A picturesque beach, the Hollant Beach is a rocky one and hence keeps the swimmers and sun bathers away! Makes for a perfect opportunity for serenity seekers.

The Lovers beach is a pristine stretch of beach which is located towards the north of Betalbatim beach.
10. Betul Beach:
Small but beautiful, the Betul Beach is located across the Sal River, towards the south of Mobor. It is accessible only via a ferry or boat ride.
11. Velsao Beach:
If you want to escape the crowds, the Velsao beach is the one you should visit. Peace, silvery sands and clean waters await you. The beach is located near the Majorda and Colva beaches.
12. Sinquerim Beach:

Located near Fort Aguada, this relatively quite beach is dissected into two by the bastion of the fort. On the right side of the beach lies the Taj Holiday Village and on the left lies the lower Aguada fort.
13. Butterfly Beach:
A gorgeous and secluded beach, the Butterfly Beach is accessible only by
- Hiring a local boatman to take you to the beach or
- Hiking for an hour or so through dense jungle!
This serene beach is located in the Canacona district of Goa.
