1. The Crooked House (Sopot, Poland)

Built in 2004 by architect Szotynscy Zaleski, this building is said to be one of the most photographed strange buildings in the world. The first look will make you wonder if the house is digitally altered. It looks like a home from one of those fascinating fairy tales. It is part of the Rezydent Shopping Centre in Sopot.

2. Upside Down House (Szymbark, Poland)

The Upside Down house standing on its roof is a popular tourist spot. You can visit and stand on the ceiling and experience a life you never imagined to encounter. Then entrance is through one of the window roofs.

3. Kansas City Library (Missouri, USA)

One of the most striking features of downtown Kansas City, is the obscured garage in a community book shelf. Covered in signboard mylar, the garage appears to be a row of books lined up on a shelf except in this case the books are 25 feet high and nine feet wide.

4. The Basket Building (Ohio, United States)

This may look like a picnic basket kept in the park. But this actually is a 7-story building which is Longaberger's Home Office located in Newark, Ohio. This monument is in fact worlds largest basket. It's 192 ft. long by 126 ft. wide at the bottom, spreads to 208-ft. long by 142-ft. wide at the roofline. Must visit this sttranges building in world.

5. National Theatre (Beijing, China)

The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), took six years to build. The project was started in 2001 by Paul Andreu and it got over in 2007. Every effort put in was worth it as the egg shaped building made of titanium and glass looks phenomenal on an artificial lake.

6. Atomium (Brussels, Belgium)

Atonium is the symbol of the city of Brussels. It was constructed in 1958 for the World Expo and it stands 102m (335ft) high and it forms the shape of an iron crystal atom magnified 165 billion times.

7. Nautilus House (Mexico City, Mexico)

This sea shell house is based on an aquatic theme. The owners, being nature loves have kept that element alive. The interiors look like an underwater setting with beautiful furniture made from sea shells.

8. Rotating Tower (Dubai, UAE)

Designed by David Fischer, this building constantly keeps changing its shape. The tower revolves in such a way that every floor gets a 360 degree view in one day. How cool is that?

9. Cubic Houses (Rotterdam, Netherlands)

Built by Piet Blom in the 1970s, the cubic houses are an epitome of great architecture. The utilisation of space is amazing and they are quite exquisite to look at! Isn;t this an awesome but strange building in the world?

10. Conch Shell House (Isla Mujeres, Mexico)

This beautiful conch shell house is surrounded by Caribbean Ocean and is made of concrete and recycled materials. The interiors of the house like the conch shell sinks, coral faucets, sea shell towel racks etc. are amazing.

11. Stone House (Guimaraes, Portugal)

This unique building in the world is considered as a piece of architecture that resembles the famous Flintstones house. It has bullet proof windows and walls and a comfy interiors including a fireplace and the location is picturesque.
