Goa comes alive with unparalleled energy and music every December. The Sunburn has been the coolest festival to visit since it first begun. With an artist lineup like none other, this festival is only getting bigger every year.

If you’re heading there this year, you’re going to be head banging to artistes like Martin Garrix, David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas. The whole place is going to transform into a massive club where thousands of people are going to unite to party with free spirits and untamed enthusiasm.

Here is a list of 18 Sunburn Goa - Music Festival Must Haves:

1. Sunglasses

You will find multiple uses for your sunglasses at Sunburn. From that added spunk to your outfit to essential sun protection, your shades are an absolute must-have for this outdoor party. Go funky with shapes and embellishments while choosing the ideal pair of sunglasses- from wayfarers to aviators and Lennon-inspired shapes, the options are limitless!

2. Camping Tents

Sunburn burning a hole in your pocket? As if you were not already spending a bomb for the fest, hotels jack up their tariffs around this time to ridiculous levels. Fret not,  the organizers of Sunburn have made arrangements for you to pitch a tent in the arena itself. So if you’re tempted by this option, do carry your own tents to the party.

3. Tank Backpacks

A festival essential, tank backpacks are a cool way to carry your drinks around, without having to run for a refill again and again. Fill up your tanks with your favorite drink and sip at leisure as you enjoy the thumping spectacular music of Sunburn.

4. Hand Sanitizer and Wet Wipes

No, don’t scoff. You’d thank me later for this suggestion. With the Armageddon of heat hitting your face with five hours of nonstop dancing, wet wipes will feel like a miracle invention here. And hand sanitizers will come handy after those frequent visits to the loo.

5. Battery Packs

Amid frantically looking for your friends and the millions of selfies that you are bound to click, your phone will be out of juice before you realize it. A battery power pack will be a good investment at such times.. don’t forget to charge that too!

6. Selfie Stick

If you’re going in a gang, this accessory is going to be extremely useful for you. Capture all the action in the background without cutting out any friend in your photos with the help of this magical stick.

7. Mints

If you don’t want to smell like onion rings or the last drink you had, always carry a mint on you. And don’t be shy to share with your friends!

8. Comfy Footwear

With endless walking and dancing on the cards, you don’t want to be stuck with stilettoes or formal footwear at Sunburn! Choose comfortable footwear like flip flops or crocs and look for durability too. You don’t want to be limping around with broken footwear here!

9. Flashlights

These will come handy if you’re camping or looking for your pick up car after the party. The streets of Goa get quite dark at night as they are not properly lit with street lights. Refrain from flashing the torch on the DJ though.

10. Light Backpack or Sling Bag

Keep your hands free by carrying a small, chic backpack with all your essentials or a sling bag that looks quite stylish too. You might laugh now but a money belt might not be such a bad idea either!

11. Towels

There are many designated areas to rest those tired feet but it would still do you good to carry some towels to sit on. This way, you won’t have to fight for a spot to sit!

12. Cash

This one’s important to remember. The ATM is quite a walk from the arena and if you want to save on walking that far, keep enough cash with you. Remember that the stalls here are quite expensive, come prepared for that.

13. Party Smart Pills

Who are we kidding? There’s going to be lots of booze at Sunburn and there is no escaping it. You will thank me for suggesting this pill. A cure for those nasty hangovers that are coming your way, keep this pill handy with you on all three days.

14. Protection

Whether its sunscreen or contraception, you need to prepare for all possibilities while at Sunburn. If you think you could get lucky that night, carry protection with you so that you don’t regret your actions the next day.

15. Deodorant

You should carry a deodorant with you for the same reason you should carry a mint on you. Each time you lift your hands in musical trance, save others the agony of smelling your sweaty armpits! Apply deodorant generously so that you’re not a put off to the others.

16. Identification

In case you forget your name by the end of the night (it’s possible!) or need to prove that you are over 18 years in age, a ID would be quite essential.

17. Hats

Hats have become quite a fashion statement in Goa in general. They look quite suave and also save you from the scalding heat of the sun. What’s more, if your hair are misbehaving (like they usually do in the humidity of Goa), these hats can save you the trouble of styling your hair.

18. Water

Last but most definitely not the least, you will need plenty of H2O at Sunburn. Save yourself from the dehydration that heat and alcohol cause by carrying water with you at all times.
