The Banff National Park was established in 1885 and boasts to be the oldest national park of Canada. The park covers an area of over 7,600 square kilometers and primarily has 2,400 lakes, along with many streams and rivers flowing through it. It is home to about 53 species of mammals, 272 species of birds, and more than 1000 species of plants.
