A wise man once said that there are no free lunches in the world. What I believe he really meant is that your body is paying a price for every unhealthy bite you take. Each day, the infidelity of our taste buds takes us closer towards obesity and all the diseases associated with it. That harmless looking, juicy, delectable patty sandwiched between sesame sprinkled buns can turn out to be the fastest way towards a heart attack.
Here is a list of burgers that might be the yummiest thing you have tasted but are also undoubtedly the unhealthiest option for a meal.
1. The Double Donut Burger by Hungry Horse, UK
As if donuts were not unhealthy by themselves, this pub has made a burger with two donuts that sandwich two beef burger patties, cheese, bacon and a small slice of tomato as a salvage. Rightly labeled as a Heart Attack in a Bun, this burger contains a whopping 1996 calories and 53 grams of saturated fat! I think I just heard my stomach churn.
2. Burger King Cheese Fondue, Japan
This ones simply preposterous. The Burger King Cheese fondue in Japan lets you dip your already obnoxiously unhealthy burger into a pot of melted cheese. Did I hear you salivating? This burger is close 800 calories with the fondue. Doesnt sound as delicious now, does it?
3. KFC Zinger Double Down King, South Korea
Think two chicken patties hugging a beef patty snugly, with barbecue sauce for more warmth. Of course, youd love to add that with cheese, wont you? What you cant hear is your arteries shouting for some mercy with every bite you take. This burger is loaded with 750 calories and a whole lot of cholesterol that could last you for your entire lifetime.
4. McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, USA
With 40 grams of fat and 730 calories, eating this burger regularly is like attempting suicide. I can almost imagine the 19 grams of saturated fat settling in those corners of the body stubbornly, refusing to part ways with it. It is the highest calorie burger in Mc Donalds.
5. Shake Shack Double SmokeShack, USA
Double meat patties with melted cheese and bacon might sound irresistible but it is also the worst combination of nutrients for the body. Full of saturated fat and calories, this burger is as unhealthy as it gets. There is a total of 56 grams of fat in this burger and 850 calories oozing out of its inviting form. The 23 grams of saturated fat in it is 115% of the daily recommended value.
6. Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger, USA
This one has enough calories for five guys altogether! The Bacon Cheeseburger at this joint has 920 calories in total. In fact, the benign bun itself has 260 calories! Feel like a side of fries? Thats another 953 calories for you. Did I hear you ask for some extra cheese?
7. Wendy's Classic Triple with Cheese, USA
Double cheese is for losers! Were talking triple cheese here. Wendys so called Classic is packed with 970 calories which is almost a womans entire daily requirement of calories. Thats not all, it also boasts of 59 grams of fat. A years supply of fat in one bite!
8. Jack-in-the-Box Bacon'n Cheese Ciabatta Burger
This burger replaces regular burger buns with ciabatta and stuffs it in with 1140 calories full of flavor and taste. But along with that, you also get 79 grams of fat and lots of reasons for a heart stroke! On the face of it, the ciabatta is a healthier option to normal buns but this has not seemed to make much of a difference to this burger.
9. Ruby Tuesday's Portabella Crispy Onion Pretzel Cheeseburger
Our last burger has a mind boggling 1659 calories packed inside it. Made of portabella mushrooms and swiss cheese, this burger is loaded with meat and cheese with a dash of chipotle mayonnaise. With 95 grams of fat, this burger is a sure way towards obesity and XXL size clothes!
Even though every bite of the above burgers will make you feel satiated and happy, they are taking you that much farther from your ideal body weight. Devoid of essential nutrition, your body will store this fat that will take years if not months to wear off. So before you dig into your next burger, stop and think about what the real price of eating it will be.
