"Courage is not the absence of fear; but rather the judgement that something else is more important than it”

More often than not, courage is displayed where you least expect it. And however easy it may sound, challenging your inner fears and mastering them is one difficult task.

While this spirit of courage is rare to find, India lost one of its gems that displayed tremendous courage and flamboyance one can rarely experience.

Veenu Paliwal- a 44 year old daredevil biker succumbed to injuries caused due to an accident in Vidhisha district in Bhopal.

The story of Veenu is inspiring. Hailing from Jaipur, Veenu was determined to follow her passion for biking and in an interview attributed this passion to her biker dad.

An enthusiastic learner, Veenu was introduced to biking in her college days but couldn’t pursue biking and was deprived of hitting the road after she was married.

Separated from her husband to follow her dreams, Veenu gained popularity as Lady of Harley (Dunes Harley-Davidson) and HOG Rani owing her riding skills and her quench for mapping the world with her bike.

Known for hitting the 180 kilometres/hour on her Harley, Veenu planned to document her nationwide bike journey that was halted because of the fateful accident on Monday.

Veenu was an entrepreneur and owned the Victorian Tea Room lounge Chah Bar in Jaipur, her home town. Survived by a son and a daughter, Veenu displayed excellent levels of courage and urge to follow one’s passion.

She dreamed of joining politics someday to create awareness about safe riding and biking.  Sadly, India lost its passionate gem that could have ushered in a positive change.

The last photo of Veenu, updated on her facebook profile displays the joyous and gutsy woman that she was.

We salute her spirit and the passion Veenu displayed!

A daredevil by true means, a Hobo in real sense!
