• Ibis Aracaju: Clean and small rooms. Great breakfast, but paid. Free Wi-Fi Close to the beach.
• Hotel Parque das Aguas: An average hotel, close to the beach. Tiny rooms. There’s a swimming pool. Fantastic breakfast.
• Jatoba Praia Hotel: The rooms and showers are tiny. It is close to the beach. The service is friendly.

Mid-range

• Mercure Aracaju del Mar: Close to the airport, but distant from the centre, the accommodation is worth its price. The staff is very compliant.
• Real Classic Hotel: Looks over the beach. Reasonably priced. Free WiFi. Close to some major attractions.
• Aquarios Praia Hotel: Cordial Staff, good breakfast, neat and comfortable.

Luxury

• Celi Hotel: Great for family and business travellers. Exceeds expectations in everything. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants around.
• Radisson Aracaju: This is luxury incarnate. Try and get a balcony room facing the sea. Big swimming pool and efficient employees.
• Aruana Eco Praia Hotel: This resort hotel stands out by combining luxury with local flavours. Tasty meals, pleasant gardens. It’s a little outside the city, but the country atmosphere works in its favour.

PLACES TO EAT

• Cariri: In addition to the steak, the restaurant has an excellent salad bar. There’s a live pianist.
• Sal e Brasa Aracaju Churrascaria: Good live music, excellent seafood, and a very fun dance floor.
• Muratto: Though the portions are small, and the price is high, this contemporary fine dining restaurant absolutely nails the flavors of its dishes, no matter what cuisine.
• Calles Bar De Tapas: International style tapas bar, with over 30 varieties of beer served. The burgers are great too.
• Republica Dos Camaroes: A lively seafood restaurant. Try every variety of shrimp they have. Large portions.
