  • I had a great experience here. The space is quite small, but I felt like that helped me talk to new people. The atmosphere is very friendly and I loved the decor. The place has a wonderful charm to it and I would definitely return the next time I'm in NYC.

  • Love this place. Barmen super friendly and ended up giving us free shots... Maybe because we were the only guys in the bar, but great place!

  • A friend recommended this place to me while I was visiting New York. I wish they hadn't! Seemed cozy at first, but upon the second pint, another patron accused me of colonizing and of being "a straight", (which I'm actually not). I didn't lash back. I only tried to diffuse and calm the situation. Upon overhearing us the bartender asked if I was straight and if I was to get out. That was well enough for me! Lesson learned and I won't be back. It wasn't at what I expected.

  • Used to be a nice place to go to, good music and good vibes so you could ignore how small it is in there. And it is VERY small. About the size of a master bedroom. But the past 2 times I've gone, both bartenders were openly hostile to my friends and I, one even threw my change into a puddle on the counter instead of putting it into my outstretched hand. Then they glared/pointed at us and whispered to each other like catty children for the next few minutes in between serving people. I'm not just being sensitive, a random patron of the bar walked up to me and told me she saw how I was being treated from across the bar and is leaving because of it. I was going to stay just to finish the drink i paid for, and to the surprise of no one, it was all margarita mixer and ice slushie with a drop of alcohol. They have the margaritas premade so you don't see how much you're getting ripped off. I also watched them ignore their own doorman asking for a cup of water at the bar for 10 whole minutes. Not gonna spend my money somewhere like this. Lesbian bars are few and far between nowadays, but we can still do so much better than one with openly hostile, childish, and mildly racist staff.

  • I've been going here for years. I have to say since the election it is way less friendly to people who appear to be gender-binary or straight regardless of how you self-identify. It's regrettably understandable but also really a sad sign of the times. I can't bring a lot of my friends here anymore and they used to be so welcomed. Lesbian, Gay only with a focus on Gender-Binary I would say. If you're not any of the above then you may be told it's cultural appropriation for you to be there.
