Good "two star" tourist hotel in Times Square. It's a two star hotel in Times Square, so it's not the Ritz. The people working there are competent -- we didn't like our first room and they switched us with no problems. They delivered a rollaway bed quickly. Be sure to request a room at the back of the building. The front gets a lot of street noise (why we requested the move). The shower took a long time to get hot water. Additionally, some ambient light from outside got into the room at night. You might want to bring a sleep mask. There's a lovely large sitting area which must have been a lounge/bar in a previous life.
Nice hotel, seems to be under renovation. Elevators have been a mix of functional and non-functional during my two day save. Had a small issue with my AC in my first room so they had us move to another. Good staff (desk workers have been great and highly friendly). Overall polish could be better but it's in a good location for exploring the city.
My daughter and I stayed 6 wonderful nights over the 4th of July week.. our room was clean, comfortable and met all of our needs! Perfect location... right off Time's Square. Staff ..very very helpful and friendly! First time New York visitors.. we will be back.. and this is where we will stay!!
Competent staff, especially that one small guy! If you ever go there you'll know who I mean. The rooms are OK, not much more to say. The downside of our room was that we didn't have curtains and the blinds didn't fully close, so it was never truely dark since the ads on times square never turn off. The locations was epic though.
The room is small but clean. The a.c. unit was loud but it's close to time square. Walking distance to the Empire State Building and near all the other big tourist attractions. Overall the experience has been good.
