Small rooms and tight bathroom but amenities were great. Ample lotion, soaps, toothbrush, and even had razors, shower caps, and hair brushes. The bathrobes were comfy they gave face masks for mothers day. Also free breakfast at Denny's for each guest staying in the rooms. Would stay there again!
I would give it 5 stars. Consider the price, this hotel provides great facilities amd services. The staff are very helpful. It is just a business hotel and it covers all the basic needs.
The location of the Centurion Hotel Ikebukuro is fantastic! It's only a block from the station and had good access to many of the shops and locales you want to see in that neighborhood. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'm taking off one star because the rooms are a little tightly packed, and the bathroom also had a slightly cramped, weird layout.
Location and rooms are great, but its a bit pricy. There is service 24/7 in english, japanese and chinese (mandarin).
My wife, my son and I arrived at Hotel Centurion Ikebukuro in the evening on 20 May 2018. We all came to your hotel and expected pleasant and cozy stay that I really want my wife and my son to experience. After checking in at your counter and visiting the room which is too small for 3 people, I have decided and requested for the upgrade to deluxe room and I have willingly paid around $2,300 in Hong Kong Dollar or a bit more; I was informed and your staff has confirmed that I will have to move to another deluxe room on 24 May 2018. The explanation with the arrangement is understood and I accepted it because I have rapidly requested for such change on the date of my arrival and I am fine with that. Note! Payment for the upgrade has been MADE and CONFIRMED on 20 May 2018. On the next day as of “21 May 2018”, at around 9 something p.m. at night, my wife, my son and I returned to the hotel room from shopping and dinner. We received a note pasted on the room door saying “you are required to move to another deluxe room on 23 May 2018 in advance”. My wife wondered about why we needed to move in advance on 23 May 2018 instead of 24 May 2018. This arrangement has totally messed my time schedule as previously planned. My wife and I have reluctantly accepted such arrangement With all personal belonging and luggages at reception counter, My wife and I waited for another deluxe room, a “Chinese speaking” female staff named “Cho” blamed and challenged my wife in Mandarin “We tried to find you but you guys weren’t in the hotel” when my wife was ONLY trying to find out the reason why move. Ms Cho, with a unfriendly look, has signified “just because we weren’t in the hotel in daytime, so it’s already my wife’s and my problem “ even though she didn't directly say. Hence the blame was passed to my wife and me. IS THAT HOW your hotel trained your staffs? Is that how your hotel trained up the service attitude of the staff ? Secondly, Cho asked my wife and me to have to wait for another hour before getting the room with all languages left just in front of the pathway and the counter. Wasn’t another room supposed to be ready before your hotel informs guest to move? NOTE! Payment has been MADE and CONFIRMED!! Why did I have to wait for an hour ? Total waste of my time. Question here; May I know if your hotel has a regulation for all your hotel guests who MUST STAY in the HOTEL so as to wait to be notified of any announcement or rapid arrangement in case? This is very ridiculous! All hotel guests need to stay in the hotel for the whole day or your office hour ended. We came to Tokyo as purpose of travelling. On the date of checking out 26 May 2018, a Japanese female staff named “ Morii “is very impolite while we would like to do the checking out process. She could talk and serve another guest and walk away from me while the conversation between her and me wasn't completed and ignored me! she would rather help someone else because I had already checked out and I am no longer a guest to the hotel? I was like “WOW is that how you trained your staff? Your staff can really turn away from the guests who checked out from the hotel. what a ridiculous and bad manner!! From the way Morii serves guests, this tells me to realize the way all your Japanese people treat travellers!!! Furthermore the Rooms BOTH in the first arranged deluxe room and second arranged deluxe room I found out are unclean, toilet and ESPECIALLY tub on the bathtub with hair left from last guests !!! Never clean The is ever the most terrible experience of my stay in hotel!!! I’m quite furious with the whole situation!!! This whole experience has been a total waste of my time and ruined my stay in Tokyo; I’m furious with hotel Centurion Hotel Ikebukuro” and will NEVER give this hotel any second try!!! I cannot believe there is no manager to talk with and that you do not have a supervisor or similar for whom I can lodge my complaint. TERRIBLE customer service!!!
