Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore Reviews - Write a Review
The airport is nice. Stayed there for an hour because of layover. Find it better than Raipur airport. Food joints are good, although on the higher side. All in all a decent place and hopefully more facilities will be added in coming future.
Very clean and well maintained airport, however small as compare to others. This airport have few flight options only but still the best of its kind. Have good staff, good architecture, parking place and nice decorated walls, glass art and very great tribute wall organised for the Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, this is the best tribute given to her. Giving 5star for its cleanliness, quality and historical representation.
Has been constantly expanding..now at par with many services. Parking is very well organized. Although since traffic is comparitively less, managing it is relatively simpler. Approach and exits are now very good. Update: The toilets though are very bad and not maintained at all This reducing 1 star
Not as lively and large as other airports, lesser food options, though clean and tidy all around. It was among the first airports to start paper free boarding passes. The taxi service provided by the airport authority at Indore is awesome. Though if you plan to stay overnight is not available. We were stuck there and came to know that this airport was not operating at night and that it would operate only at 4:00 am in the morning. So we had to stay in a restaurant in order to pass the night as we didn't have any accommodation there. So in advance book hotels and moreover the restaurant are also closed by night.
Its a very clean and hygienic airport, a very rare thing to see in a tire 2 city. Since indore has limited flights you won't see that much of crowd and rush except for early morning since there are back to back flights till 8am. The only drawback is that there is just 1 coffee shop which is not adequate and also they don't except CARDS/ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS, who does that when modi is in rule!!! If your flight is in morning try to reach 30 min before the gate closure time and you will through.
