Featuring mesmerizing sceneries, diverse and clean play structures, ADA- approved playground, picnic tables with barbeques, and an Oregon trail display, Birnie Park is one of the most popular parks in La Grande. The park has swings for all age groups, a fountain, a dedicated walking path, and clean restrooms. The Oregon trail display at the park was designed by two local artists and consists of oval glazed ceramic columns representing an abstract pioneer memorial and a life-size wagon symbolizing various aspects of a trip.
