Best Time To Visit Pench National Park

February to April is the best time to visit the park. Albeit the park being open to visitors from 16th October to 30th June every year. Being situated very close to the Tropic of Cancer, the area is bound to get very hot during the summers, and so until April is a good time. This is also a great time to experience its scenic beauty. During the monsoons, i.e. July to September, the tiger reserve remains closed, owing to the heavy rainfall.

  • Summer: Beginning in the month of March, the summer season goes on until the month of June. The average highest temperature is around 42 degree Celsius, while the average lowest is around 20 degree Celsius. • Monsoon: July to September is when the rains arrive. Receives a considerably heavy rainfall, and thus this is not the best time to visit.
  • Winter: October to February is winter. Experiencing cool and pleasant weather during the winter season, is one reason why Pench is best visited during this time. It’s simply beautifully, with the minimum temperature dropping down to the freezing point and the maximum temperature remaining pleasantly somewhere around 16 degrees Celsius.
