Hammerman Area Beach, Middle River Reviews

  • Family Fun Day. I didn't go in the water but the kids loved. Restrooms strategically placed throughout the park. We got there early and a nice area for our large family. Stayed until closing. Easy to find on Google. Just be sure to add Hamman Beach in browser .

  • For it to be a man made beach it’s very nice. I will say that the signage could be a lot better since there are many ways to enter the park and only one way to enter the beach . I believe it’s about $5 per person or less for entry. The restaurant inside has REALLY good food. Lots of space to grill and enjoy the sun or even take a swim . Water looks brown due to filter and editing but it’s actually pretty clear and clean.

  • Nice place during the fall, winter, spring. During the summer it's overcrowded and disgusting. So much trash everywhere. People are disgusting. This past summer I stepped on a diaper under the water and there was literal trash debris and particles all over floating in the water. Once i realized what i stepped on was a diaper and not a muddy blob, i didnt go back in the water. I don't think will ever patronize this place for swimming ever again. It reminds me of the harbor with how much trash there is. People who come here during the summer need to respect nature.

  • Great place for a family outing or picnic. Just be aware, it ain't the ocean, so you get a lot of river debris in the water after a good rain. Watch out for the wakes from passing boats. The place also fills up quick, so plan on getting there by mid-morning. Otherwise, a nice beach area with picnic tables and grills.

  • We go to Herman Beach (I think that's the Name) during the summer. It's really nice and peaceful when you go during the week. Weekends are crazy and packed, but it's a nice and inexpensive activity for the summer. They even updated the bathrooms so its nice and clean. During the week there is a lot of parking and spaces close to the beach.
