It is a non-profitable organization, and said to be the oldest science and discovery center of Scotland. Founded in 1988 and since its opening, the education team of the center has been able to engage its visitors of all age with various aspects of science. There are exhibitions, workshops, shows and demonstration for entertainment. There are few hands-on workshops where you and your kids can actively take part.

Their ever changing programs that include subjects from dinosaurs to robot have always been an all-time favorite among the visitors. Visit their science shop where you can get hold of some interesting science puzzles, toys and so on.

• Children (under 4): Free of charge
• Concessions: £4.50
• Family (2 adults + 2 children OR 1 adult + 3 children): £18.00
• STEM Passport holder: FREE of charge
• Groups: £3.75  per child, adults are free of charge at a ratio of 1:8 (one adult gets in free for every 8 children, any more adults cost £5.75 per person). 

• The center is open throughout the week.
• The Tramsheds Coffee shop: Monday to Sunday – 9:30am – 4pm.

• Bus no. 15 from Union Street and get off at the door of the center.
