Had a great time during the fall art festival. The only problem was they had only 1 beer tent and the line was crazy. Other then that there was plenty of art to look at and purchase. Also it was a great time of yr to go to the park and see the black squirrels. I plan on going back next year.
Lovely park to ride your bike or take kids to the small playground and walk. Nice place to fish. Squirrels are every where and will come right to you assuming you may have some food. Apparently people feed the squirrels often.
Been going to this park for a couple years now to walk my dog. It's a nice park on the water with a lot of shade from the trees which is nice on hot days. Also it's the only place I have seen black squirrels
I was in the area and found this park to take my dogs for a walk at. I was really surprised by how clean and well maintained it is. I like how the layout is very organized - in its design. It has many fishing piers away from the boats. The trail is paved and connects to many parking lots. It appears that there is a portable toilet in each parking lot. I expected them to be located in the picnic area or playground, but if you are looking for one, find a parking lot. The water was very muddy when I visited. The trail total to about 2 miles, I believe. There are plenty of trashcans which I love, since I prefer not having to carry a used poop bag around for a long time. I saw a lot of cardinals (the bird) in this park. A man walking his dog told me that there are also black squirrels in the park, but I didn't see any. The only time I saw black squirrels was in the Niagara Falls State Park (USA).
Nice park along the gunpowder river. Very nice launching ramps. A couple of fishing pavilion's
