Al Ain Zoo - Review

Located in the Jebel Hafeet Range, this zoo is a wonderful place to visit. With several species of animals from several different parts of the world on display, you are sure to enjoy your day with your kids here. There are also special educational tours for kids as well.

Be sure that you don’t miss the bird show featuring various birds of prey like falcons, eagles owls and vultures. They have separate African and Arabian exhibits which contain a really good variety of animals. An interesting activity to do here is feeding the giraffes. What’s more is that utmost care is being taken to conserve these species and their habitat at this zoo. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Abu Dhabi itinerary 7 days.

Al Ain Zoo, Abu Dhabi Reviews

  • A perfect place to visit with family. Kids will love it. Summer can be a little too hot. Carry a hat, scarf and sunglasses. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking around to be done as the place is huge. Plan your lunch time in advance as you have to walk back a great distance and might get late or end up skipping lunch altogether. Keep snacks if coming with kids. Drinking water is available at intervals throughout the zoo. Don't miss the bird's show it is absolutely amazing. You are not allowed to feed the animals so please don't carry food for them. You can pay extra to feed the giraffes, but it isn't necessary as I have seen many chicken out last minute. Overall it is a great place.

  • The best experience money can buy. They have all sorts of animals to watch out for. You can view and enjoy watching majestic animals from up close. There's a section where you can feed the Giraffe with your own hands. This is an incredible experience in itself, one which you must enjoy with your child. The zoo is clean and very well maintained. Absolute must-go when in Abu Dhabi.

  • The zoo is amazing but the only drawback is that the zoo is like a jigsaw wouldn't know where to go next with so many paths leading some where or the other. Due to which we might miss seeing a few animals. The whole day we had been going from one corner to the other, asking the guards for help, who indeed were helpful. But it was really tiring. Instead a proper direction would have saved us a lot of time and effort. Trying to figure out what we have missed and what we have not got us roaming around in circles. I really hope they take care of this. Just so that others won't have the same problem.

  • It is the perfect place to visit with family & friends in Alain. Kids will love it. There are variety of animals & their species. Recently this zoo was extend. Moreover you can enjoy safari. It is in a very big area so you have to walk all around. But it will become bit difficult to walk in hot in summer season. therefore try to visit in evening time. Also there is option to feed giraffe & touch them but you have to pay additional.

  • Its a great place, lots of animals and nice place to visit for a family weekend. The only problem i had is finding the appropriate signboard. The signboard's are not clear and it just leaves us circulating in same place. More lights needed after sunset, cannot see animals clearly after sunset hours. Recommend place for a great fun with kids.
