Heritage Village - Review
The heritage village is the perfect place to find out more about the Arabian culture. But at the Heritage village you are not just a passive observer who sees and views things. Here you can actively participate in some of the activities that are a part of this ancient tradition.
There are many artefacts, jewellery, pottery, cutlery as well as other objects which are on display here but more significantly there are several workshops which teach you traditional techniques of weaving, spinning, pottery etc. the display also throws light on various characteristic features of this ancient culture such as the system of irrigation called falaj, campfires and goat rearing as well as other activities. Thus the heritage village has an interactive outlook on culture and if you are bored of museums it will be the perfect way to enjoy and learn at the same time. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Abu Dhabi itinerary 7 days.

Heritage Village, Abu Dhabi Reviews
It's amazing to see the great past of UAE still available for us to witness and be awed by the expertise and skills of the locals. Very friendly and accommodating for picture taking. We appreciate how the govt keeps and supports its existence. However, we hope there would be better cooling system when strolling during summer. Salute!
Its a very simple place with too much of crowd, its has showcase the village life about how local"s used to stay and how was their life style. They also have very small museum on village life showing old type vessels, cloth and hand works, boats and house style etc. It also have a small resturant where you can get some fruits salad and sandwiches both veg and non veg. Yes you also find some local old ladies wold be selling some hand made items. Good amount of parking place is available. Overall its a decent places and one can skip if short of time, maximum you can spend around 45 minutes. enjoy :)
I took my local students on a trip and WE LOVED IT! The staff was so good to us. It was good for them to use their Math and English communication skills there, as well as see their beautiful culture. My heart was so happy seeing them enjoy their culture. We had such a good time. I even go with my hubby sometimes. Jamal the camel loves candy and water. He's so sweet! This is such a good cultural place to visit. # I love Abu Dhabi, UAE #American Teacher #A must see in Abu Dhabi
Very nice place to visit. Run by the Emirates Heritage Club, this reconstruction of a traditional oasis village provides an interesting glimpse into the emirate’s past. Traditional aspects of the desert way of life, including a campfire with coffee pots, a goats’ hair tent, and a falaj irrigation system, are attractively displayed in the open museum. There are workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills, such as metal work and pottery, while women sit weaving and spinning. The craftsmen are happy to share their skills, and may occasionally give you the chance to try them out. The little spice shop is a treat – you can get a range of dried herbs, handmade soap and plenty of chatter.
Go here for a serene evening. Surprisingly, the small beach is not crowded at all. The museum offers an interesting glimpse into the emirate's past and the small model farm is a pleasant surprise. Replicas of the small traditional houses of the Arabian peninsula takes you back in time when life in the region was different. It is easy to see how life was unsophisticated and uncomplicated. The enormous national flag flying in the background lends the whole place a great ambience.
