This mosque was beyond beautiful! It was extremely clean and everything was so white. Be prepared to go through two rounds of security - one to make sure your properly dressed and the other to check your bags. We were here on a tour and I was provided the appropriate attire and head scarf. In order to walk in certain areas you do need to take your shoes off, but I promise all this was worth it. We happened to be there for the noon call to prayer which was special to witness. Definitely have to stop here if you are in Abu Dhabi or Dubai - it’s just a short drive away.
It has to be the "Must See" Mosque, irrelevant of your religious persuasion. Fascinating just in the size of the place and the brightness of the marble work. As with these places, dress code is strictly monitored and women and men have to conform. Modesty clothing is provided to visitors that don't conform. Women strictly have to keep there hair covered while inside the inner building. It is free to visit and there is an interesting guided tour with headset provided. Definitely recommended to make a visit.
Absolutely amazing structure. A must visit place in Abu Dhabi. Very beautiful. Friendly staff. Best to carry a photo ID with you when visiting the mosque. This will help you in getting the voice guide machine. You will need to deposit the ID and get it bash when you return the equipment. Even the toilets are jaw dropping. Superb
I will recommend each and everyone visiting Abu Dhabi to visit this Mosque. The sheer pleasure you will experience will be amazing. The quality of art work gone besides the making this Mosque is just immense. There are some pure gold bits inside the mosque. You can further watch further beauty of this Mosque on my photos posted.
A must see in Abu Dhabi! Impressive architecture combined with religion. As a woman you have to wear long clothes and cover your hair all the time. They also provide a dress for this purpose. You may not wear shoes so in case you do not like to go barefoot, bring socks, they are allowed! Also, when you go by day bring sunglasses as the white colour is very bright for the eye.
