Overview of Achimota National Forest
This forest reserve located in the heart of the city, has today be turned into place for prayer camps, camping and walking. Achimota Forest, an important national asset has been subject to encroachment and excessive degradation. The country’s Forestry Commission in 2016 leased the reserve to a private organisation to design, develop, operate and maintain the forest reserve and to turn it into a world-class ecological park which will be called Accra Eco Park.
