Considered to be the abode of deity Tripura Sundari, this temple is a small, square edifice consisting of a shrine that resembles the structure of a tortoise. Tripurasundari Temple Reviews & Ratings
Religious and spiritual point of view a very sacred temple and it is a Shakti Peeth where right leg to of Maa Goddess had fallen. Temple had been constructed by then Royals and description is these in the information Board which I have posted. Temple is too simple and if one goes as tourist interest then will be a disappointment. Facilities , wash rooms, drinking water were not prominently seen. She'd/ shelter for rains and sun we're missing.
Spirituality over loaded.. peace of mind and body. Come by evening and see the ARATI. starting from 7 pm.
This is one of the very famous Shakti peeth of goddess Kali in whole India this is very famous for the peda. There are various peda shops. the temple is very prestigious and has been established a very long long time ago. In this temple goddess Kali is worshipped and the big festival Diwali is also celebrated in a big fashion in this temple. various ministers of India including the prime minister PM Modi also visited this temple during his election campaigns.
This is like any other temple, lots of people queuing outside the temple to give puja to the goddess. I had no time to stand in queue for a long time in scorching heat, so I just went to the front, saw the idol. The interesting thing about this place is the big lake in front which is filled with fishes of various colours. Local people told us that the fishes are not being hurt, so they have multiplied in large number. There are small shops outside for sweets and souvenir. Do bargain as the prices are usually higher than usual.
The most popular temple in Tripura that attracts a huge crowd daily. Well maintained and clean premise but you will be thronged by hordes of prasad sellers just before entering the temple. Best would be to visit early morning and evening.
