Galgibaga Beach - Review

Galgibaga Beach is considered to be the cleanest beach in Goa. With silvery sands, clear water and rows after rows of coconut and pine trees, this beach is the perfect place for the turtles that choose to nest here. Also known as the Turtle Beach it is one of three other Goa beaches (alongside with Agonda and Morjim Beaches) where the state program of olive turtles saving and protection works and implemented perfectly. The whole northern part of this beautiful beach is used for turtles nesting. In the southern part of the Galgibaga Beach you shall find some shacks with a little bit modest menu of different dishes and drinks. Galgibaga Beach resort is really amazing place for solitude and quiet, leisurely hanging out and comfortable rest having: swimming, sunbathing, golden soft sand and warm tender Arabian Sea waters.

  • This is one of the calmest beaches in the south of Goa. Supposedly it's a secret beach but its also pretty famous. Beautiful place to spend a night with bonfire and a hammock.

  • Galgibaga beach is pure nostalgia showcasing Goa in a time gone bye. I had to travel far to find my slice of heaven. This place isn't for everyone especially if you are looking for a more vibrant social scene. If like me you like to be the only human besides a dog on the beach at sunrise, swim in the ocean and read a book on balmy evenings to the sound of crashing waves (basically unplug from the city & corporate hustle) then this is your place. I stayed at a great eco yurt on the beach and they have a vegan restaurant and another that served everything else within the grounds. They even have their own taxis for airport transfers.

  • Its one of the hidden treasure in Goa.Very beautiful and peaceful beach also named it as turtle hatching beach in Goa.It's protected beach for turtles and strictly kept very clean. Behind the beach there is a river,so you get Amazing view of river meeting sea.Beach is to enjoy the proper scenery of nature along with long stretch of clean shining sand.

  • My favourite beach any season its a peaceful place .

  • Getting here can be a bit tricky as Maps doesn't navigate you to the beach, rather navigates you to the opposite store. But don't give in just yet, the locals here are very helpful and will give you proper directions (There are sign boards too). The beauty of the place is to die for, sea with mountains in the background makes up an amazing view. There is another part to the beach, you can call it mini beach 😆, here you will find beautiful and different types of sea shells.
