The temple is nestled amidst the lush green surroundings on a hill near Akshardham area. It derives its name from the Amarnath temple located in the northern India, precisely in Jammu & Kashmir, whom it is said to have replicated perfectly. Those who cannot travel to the north often come here to get a glimpse of its idol ‘Ice Shivling’ which is carved out of ice. Even those who have seen the real still visit this Amarnath dham to see and marvel at its beauty. The place was built more than 20 years ago and beautifully represents the amalgamation of technology and faith. Since the Idol of the temple is made of ice, hi-tech instruments are used to keep it frozen for pilgrims. Apart from that, the place also has the exact replica of 12 other idols just like its northern counterpart.
