Loved the blowholes. They weren't quite blowing the day we went. They were making noise and the odd small spray. It was 1st of October and the end of whaling season but a mum and calf were breaching just off the cliff face. They were extremely close.
This is a great place to see however the walk is not wheelchair friendly and for the elderly there is a steep rise and a number of steps. The tide needs to be taken into consideration so that your visit actually shows how the blow hole works.
Such a great experience. With the lovely views along the walk. Take a raincoat incase of spray back and a drink will be needed when you get back to your vehicle.
They weren't blowing for us on the day we popped in but stunning coastal vistas nonetheless. This blowhole is quite high up the granitic cliffs so would be powerfully impressive when in full flight! @wanderrichly
Get ready to walk quite a distance down the trail from the car park, before you could get to the blowhole. I wasn't in luck when I visited there last summer, waited for almost an hour there hoping to see water blowing off from the hole. In the end, I have to abandon due to rain has started to pour... tough luck. Anyway, the scenery was awesome, though.
