The Blow Holes, Albany Reviews
Such a great experience. With the lovely views along the walk. Take a raincoat incase of spray back and a drink will be needed when you get back to your vehicle.
They weren't blowing for us on the day we popped in but stunning coastal vistas nonetheless. This blowhole is quite high up the granitic cliffs so would be powerfully impressive when in full flight! @wanderrichly
Get ready to walk quite a distance down the trail from the car park, before you could get to the blowhole. I wasn't in luck when I visited there last summer, waited for almost an hour there hoping to see water blowing off from the hole. In the end, I have to abandon due to rain has started to pour... tough luck. Anyway, the scenery was awesome, though.
Wasn't blowing today ... Allow 20 mins for walk down and back at a leisurely pace ... A bit steep in places ... Keep an eye out for whales.
A very disappointing place. The place's name is very deceiving. If you are expecting to see water blowing up to the sky from the hole on the ground, be prepared to be disappointed. It is nothing close to Kiama blowhole in NSW. Apparently, instead of having the sea water blown vertically upward, it is supposed to be more like a 'horisontal' blow from the shore towards the sea from a tiny gap between the rocks. Hence, it is so hard to see the 'blowhole' in action. In addition, it is so far to go to the rocks from the car park. Just to sit on top of the rocks after a long walk to see nothing is not worth it. Better go to other place.
