A non-profit museum celebrated the native racing family- the Unsers of New Mexico. From patriarch Jerry Unser to Al Unser II, the museum displays actual race cars driven by the family. There is also a rotating exhibit that features new racing aspects every month.

Interestingly, the museum building is shaped like a steering wheel and is a sight in itself!

  • Excellent display and very well maintained and informative. Guides are a treat and add a personal touch along side the video kiosk. alot to see plan 3 hours minimum. A lot more to see then I thought there would be. Must go if you're in Albuquerque.

  • Great history of the family. Many cars. Al Sr. Was there talking to people and taking pictures with them. Most gracious man.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this museum. There are many cars motorcycles and other vehicles on display. There is a lot of history on the Unser family and how they helped mold the world of Motorsports into what it is today. Great place for adults and children alike!

  • I took my teenagers to this museum and it was very interesting. You don't have to be a car racing fan to appreciate it. Make sure to watch the movie by the yellow race car in the middle of the museum (great story!). Use a Groupon to make it even more worth it!

  • Great Racing display of cars, trophies, Million $ model, 2 buildings with all kind's if Memorabilia, really enjoyed meeting Al Unser Sr. When you think of Indy Car Racing, Big Al always comes to mind. A 4 time Indy 500 Winner...
