If you are looking for something more exotic and secluded than Benidorm’s busy beaches, the Playa Cala Tio Ximo promises a rather memorable experience. The Cala Tio Ximo beach stretches for 60 meters and is located at the foot of the Sierra Helada Natural park.
People usually come here to snorkel in the see-through water and to have a relaxing picnic at the beach later. The beach does have a few cliffs around that offer a quick hiking trail to see the majestic Mediterranean Sea in all its glory. Avid swimmers love the clam water while sun bathing around the beach is just as relaxing! Do know that there are no rental umbrellas or chairs available here. However, the sands are comfortable enough to lie down as you soak up the sun and fall in love with the quieter side of Benidorm.

Playa Cala Tio Ximo Reviews & Ratings
If you avoid the summer crowded season, this corner of the Mediterranean is superb. Crystal clear water, sea life and calm. There is no sand so avoid if you are looking for a beach to sunbathing. If equipped withe the proper shoes there is the possibility to take a brief walk over the rocks to find out plants and animals
Fantastic my paradise I love this place
Beautiful, mostly quiet, but can be busy and able to tan all over. Not seedy, very relaxed. Is best to use first cove, most are sensible enough not to bring children, there is no sand and most enjoy the freedom of naturism. Take water as no facilities.
A bit tricky to get down to the water, but usually very quiet, unlike the often insanely overcrowded gigantic beach nearby. Do note that as with most beaches in the area, its a good idea to bring some beach shoes because of the rocks everywhere.... Enjoy!
Nice and tranquil place.
