Overview of Avenue Of The Giants Forest
Avenue of the Giants is a beautiful highway in North California that runs through the Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The highway is surrounded by tall Coast Redwood trees that cast their shadows throughout the driveway. The name of the highway is inspired from these giant trees. The road has many attractions for the tourists along its way that mainly includes age-old trees that have stood the test of time, tree house, Eel river and much more. A particular attraction that is favorite amongst the public is the drive through tree. Ride along this scenic highway to be in the heart of nature and to breathe in the fresh air.

Avenue Of The Giants Forest Reviews & Ratings
The redwoods are majestic. The road well maintained. There are several places to pull over and walk down trails to the eel River or into the forest. The small towns along the avenue are friendly and there are shops and restaurants along the way. I recommend the Miranda Cafe and the very well supplied Miranda market. There is a wine tasting and restaurant also in Meyer's flat further north on the Ave.
Superb scenic drive along South 101 to the North. Take Hwy 245 from Redway all through Peppersville to the North towards Eureka! Best view of the Giants is from the North entrance Peppersville Hwy 101 merge towards the South ending in Redway...in my opinion:)
We hit that place upon a bicycle tour 2005. The avenue is like a big cathedral. A very silent place. So nice to see the giant redwood trees.
Gorgeous redwoods, it's very humbling to stand beside a tree that was alive since Christ walked the earth and lives on still.
