The Birchmere Reviews & Ratings
I absolutely love this place. I have both worked gigs here and seen shows as a fan, and I love it both ways. Great room for concerts, the food and drinks are great, and the staff bend over backwards to make sure you are having a good time. On my most recent visit, I was here to see Mother's Finest, and even though we arrived right at the start of the show, a waitress sat us right up front- fantastic seats! Everything here is great- the sound system, the lighting and the service. I make an effort to see a show here whenever I am in the DC area.
The Birchmere was a surprisingly nice spot to see Chante Moore. She's down to earth and funny and the show was quite enjoyable. It's cozy and she even took the time to go through the audience giving love and hugs. In terms of the Birchmere... it has ample parking but get there early enough so you don't have to park in one of the spots that you get blocked in. We parked in the lot across the street in spite of the warnings from the cop that they don't patrol that area and to be safe. We didn't have any issues with safety. We sat in the rear but still had a good view. All in all it was a good show... Good location... enjoyed my night. Will definitely go back.
Birchmere is iconic. Been there for as long as I can remember. Intimate place to see shows. Highly recommended
Unlike Wolf Trap, this is an INDOOR venue (no bugs or weather issues) offering diverse musical talents (old and new). Food is good and staff are great. Parking on site. Enjoy!!!
Performance was great. Went to see Jeffrey Osborne. At the age of 71, he looks fantastic (would put a lot of 45 year olds to shame and I am not exaggerating), sounds like he did 30 years ago (anyone would know that beautiful, distinctive voice), and had great interaction with the audience. We have been going to Birchmere for about 15 years now and this is by far the best concert yet. We will be back to see Mr. Osborne if he returns next year. Birchmere is a unique venue that allows you get up close to the performing artists. It also serves food and drinks. I must say that the food is not as good as it was in years past. We go there two or three times a year, so have valid comparisons. Some dinner items were removed from the menu and replaced by others that aren't even worth trying, especially at the inflated prices they charge, which would be okay if I got something that was worth it. The appetizers are okay for the most part, but don't expect anything great. With that being said, the bar drinks are good and they do not leave you guessing on whether they actually poured what you paid for. Next time, I'll stick with an appetizer if I am hungry and just get a drink or two. Or maybe eat at home prior to arriving.

I am not sure if a seating chart is available. I suggest you call The Birchmere officials on 703-549-7500 and inquire about their seating arrangement as well as the general admission policy.Report Abuse
