Alicante Tourism

Alicante is a city and port in Spain and the capital of Alicante province. Of all Spain's provincial capitals, Alicante is one of the most important tourist destinations, more so on the east coast of Spain. It is a dynamic Spanish city with a magnificent castle as its prominent skyline and a long waterfront. Infact, you cannot escape these two while on your Alicante trip!

Located in the middle of Costa Blanca, the tranquil waters of the Mediterranean Sea add to the appeal of this beautiful harbour city. While working on your Alicante itinerary do ensure that you include nearby towns and villages as well to your travel plan. Like the valley town of Guadalest for example.

Trivia (your Alicante tourist guide might not tell you this!)- Ruled by Arabs for a long time, the name of the city sounds like the Arabic name ‘Al-laqant’ which in turn reflects the Latin ‘Lucentum’. Lucentum was the name of the Roman predecessor of the city of Alicante.

From the best times to visit the city to how to reach it, from where to stay to where to eat, from what to see to what festivals to witness, allow us to be your Alicante travel guide!
