Anzac Hill - Review

For one of the best views of Alice Springs, walk up Anzac Hill for a spectacular 360 degrees panorama. You could also drive up there if you don’t feel like stretching your legs. On top of the hill lies a war memorial erected to honor all those who laid their lives down during World War One. Plaques behind the memorial name all the men and women who lost their lives in battles and conflicts. To get the best experience out of the visit, watch either the sunrise or the sunset from Anzac Hill.

Anzac Hill, Alice Springs Reviews

  • Fantastic panorama across the whole of Alice Springs. Also worth ascending to watch the sunset - get there about 15 minutes early to bag a good vantage point. Although there are footpaths to the top, we drove up the blacktop to the car park at the top. If this car park is full there is a larger parking area just below.

  • This would be a fabulous lookout, except that some trees have been planted lower down which have now grown enough to block the view in some directions. It's still an awesome place to go, particularly at sunset.

  • Good spot close to town for a sunrise as well as the great tribute to our diggers.

  • Nice view over Alice Springs, good spot to watch the sunrise and sunset, due to its hight to the rest of the city.

  • Nice views over the city. Good at sunset.
