8th Avenue Community Park Reviews & Ratings
The play area is super cool! Lots of different attractions for many ages. The covered area with tables to sit at is also very nice. The boardwalk downto the water is really cool and they had just cleaned up the beach as another patron stated. The was presumed dog and seagull poop all over the beach. Who takes their dog to the park and does not feel responsible to clean up after them?!?!
This place was excellent it has everything that a family would love. When you come here you see many great things. And it's a beach that you can swim into. you can tell they take good care of the park because when I went that there was new sand. To be honest it's not really that big but there is a walking trail and a walking trail is very nice and there's also a boardwalk.
Doesn't get as packed as gun lake but the one time we went people bombarded around us in the water when there was plenty of room due to not many people there during the time of day we went. Made me uncomfortable grown men swimming behind my daughter every time she tried swimming out further. There's a huge drop as well, it gets deep quick. Man made lake.
Its an outdoor lake and beach there's a lot of bird/duck leaveings. make sure you bring a chair to sit on as opposed to sitting on the sand. great playground equipment and picnic pavilion with indoor bathrooms. several picnic tables scattered around with a few grills. Several good docks for fishing. There is a grass area to the east of the sand / beach where I have seen several dogs and humans playing with a clearing to get in the water.
Very nice playground and pavillion for large party cookouts. Paved walking path all the way around the lake. Fairly large beach area but you'll want to bring a chair, the ducks like to use it as their toilet.
