Saint Catherine Of Siena Chapel - Review
Overview of Chapel On The Rock
Perched on the shore of the tiny Cabin Creek, is a beautiful architectural piece, the Chapel on The Rock. Staying true to its name, this church peacefully balances itself on majestic rocks. The church is officially known as Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel and is a very popular tourist landmark. In 1999, it was designated as a historical site. The chapel has gone through some troubling times of fire in 2011, and rock slides in 2013, but survived it. It rugged exterior, and cozy interiors are a perfect blend to transport you to a different time. Visit this chapel to experience beauty in simplicity, and faith in solitude.

Beautiful little chapel in the middle of the mountains. We stopped in here along the way to Estes Park. A very quick visit but worth every minute. The attendant that was on duty was friendly and helpful, answering questions about the chapel.
We were out looking for the fall colors and passed by this chapel. Stopped to get photos and stretch out our legs. Ended up with a surreal image that I am very fond of.
Great place to stop if going up or down HWY 7! There is parking on both north and south side. South side is best (there is a pull off area while the north side would be ok for quick photo ... it’s a driveway with some extra room to move out of the way. Breathtaking location in the winter with the stone church and spectacular backdrop. A must stop when driving through Rocky Mountain National Park.
Very picturesque, but kinda difficult to park and get to and not a lot of information on it. But we'll worth stopping on the side of the road and grabbing some awesome photos.
