Overview of St Catherine Of Sweden Church
St Catherine of Sweden Church is one of the oldest churches in Allison Park. The earliest mention of the construction of the church dates back to 1934. After establishment of a parish during 1940s, the church actually developed and grew in 1960s and 1970s. However, due to lack of funds, its school had to be closed in 1972. A new St Catherine Church was built in 2004 to keep up with the changes in the community. The mass conducted here is popular amongst the youth and adults for the peace and enjoyment that it gives. People also comes together here during Christmas and other festivals and events.
