City Mall Almere, Almere Reviews - Write a Review
Very well spread out shipping center. Lots of space so it is not overcrowded. Stores are getting better. Few good cafes/restaurants around as well.
Absolutely vibrant place! Lot's of shopping stores and restaurants of various cuisines. Staying in Almere surrounded by the City Mall is absolutely a treat. The lake just beside the mall is a nice place to relax yourselves. I surely recommend to visit the place.
When I visited Almere Stad around 30 years ago, this whole site was still a flatland, with a railway station out of nowhere. I remember taking a train from here to Amsterdam. Anyhow, it is now the present day, 2017, this site has become Almere City Mall. Awesome and smart development, if I may say so. The mall design is fun, good looking, and convenient, since it is reachable by bus, train, and also by car. There are lots of parking space available. I visited this mall a few times more than I needed because the train station (Almere Centrum) is one of the bigger ones, where you can catch an intercity train.
Almere is a created city in the newly created polders, mostly amsterdam people live here for whom amsterdam became too expensive. The centre certainly looks attractive and so does the city mall. A bit smallish and definitely with its own character. Worth seeing.
Well kept, clean, all kinds of shops and restaurants, plenty of parking garages available. Busy, yet family friendly.
