Island Park & Wildlife Sanctuary Reviews & Ratings

  • First time here and I absolutely loved it. It's a great place to take the dogs or just to take a stroll. You can climb the hill to get a great view of the city as well as get to some out of the way fishing holes. Great place to stop on your way north.

  • This is such a beautiful sanctuary. I could easily lose hours here exploring. There is kayak rental and a launch to depart from, if you enjoy that sort of thing. The sound of traffic was negligible, if noticeable. There were plenty of flowers towards the beginning which gave opportunity to observe some insects.

  • Very nice park and easily accessible trails. Not too long or short. You can rent canoes kayaks and paddle boards here too.

  • Very Nice walk in the woods and around the pond. .75 mile walk worth every step.

  • Prime™ place to explore. Love going out to enjoy the wilderness and see the animals that inhabit the island. Can be very exciting seeing the deer cross parts of the river getting to the island too. Yall should visit, does take a good amount of walking though.
