Quality Inn, Alpine Reviews - Write a Review
Had 2 queen size beds in a sizable room with an extremely delicious waffle breakfast and a hot tub spa that was wonderful all by itself. The motif was interesting all on its own. With the adobe facade and the western theme inside. The Quality Inn and its namesake are always a great place to stay no matter where you are. We were even treated to a couple wildlife displays, on one night we watched a small family of Ferrell hogs feeding on the acorns under a couple oak trees. On the second night we were treated to a display by a half dozen deer feeding on the same acorns. How cool!
OMG. This place is great. Beautiful, VERY comfortable room with all the mod cons. Great internet. Super comfortable beds; I slept fantastic. They have the good breakfast buffet in the morning. Everything tasted yummy. The only down side was our room was upstairs, but on the plus side again, the staff carried our luggage up and back down again for us. We had a lovely view out our room's window, too. I would definitely stay there again.
Pros: very friendly, courteous staff Very clean well stocked room Quiet Nice size pool Comfortable bed ( I love the small pillows) Cons: refrigerator not very cold and no way to control temp No plastic liner for ice bin. Hot tub not hot ( I know it's summer but some of us old folks need just a little more heat) No hotel or town attractions notebook in room ( first Quality Inn that I've stayed at that didn't have one.) OVERALL, I would stay here again and recommend to others.
It's not that it's a bad place to stay, but when you pay $291 for 2 nights, and the only benefit is the same breakfast, I can get at another hotel, anywhere is atrocious. I could understand if this was a busy weekend, or hunting season, but with nothing going on this is ridiculous.
Great room (very clean), and great breakfast! However, we had originally booked through Expedia online and the prices were out of our range so we decided to cancel the reservation and made other reservations. We ended up making it to Alpine at almost 1am in the morning so I googled to see if quality still had open rooms (quality inn) they did, I placed the dates in and it gave me a total of like 187 so we (3 of us) each put 62 bucks together and decided to go in and book with the quality. Went in and told Arosen that we seen that had rooms open from the 28th-29th(Sat-Sun). He said sure and I can get you a better rate since it's so late. We were so excited, felt so blessed and thanked him so but not before confirming that, that total was from when we arrived until Sunday, and my boyfriend even asked would we have to pay him anymore money and he said no. Come Sunday the front desk manager Jana said we had a balance of 162 ? Apparently Arosen seen that we had a reservation and decided to go back and book us under the reservation that we had cancelled because it was too expensive for us. We ended up getting the balance reduced to 90 but I felt like we shouldn't have to pay a balance when we were told that what we paid at check in was all we would pay and trust me people that don't have the funds double check and make sure and that's exactly what we did. Because we could've turned around and went to the value lodge where we made reservations at of course we didn't want to but it was what we could afford. But we got penalized for Arosen miscommunicating and to think of it as we were bringing in bags I confirmed the dates with him again. Yes, I messed up and signed a paper that said 27-28 because I went by what he said and what I asked him and didn't pay attention to the paper work I feel like maybe he knew all along there would be a balance because when I confirmed with him he said uhhhh looked at the computer and said yes which is why I asked again when we were bringing in our bags. Jana seemed not to really Care and as if she was okay with her employee's mistake or mischievous behavior. The customers were not right in this case obviously all she had were reasons why we would have to pay a balance not solutions to what they would do for their employee's mistake. Great stay with a horrible ending and the gm didn't want to show face Jana said he was there, then changed her mind and said he left and she's not keeping up with who comes in and out. I'm sure the gm told her to say what she had to say to keep him from showing his face. She called Arosen and he said he didn't remember what he said. I will be staying elsewhere next weekend. Forget quality with their lying employees. Only gave one star because I had to. Also wifi went down.
