About Son Nadi Ka Udgam, Amarkantak

Apart from being the starting point of the great river Narmada, Amarkantak is also home to two other rivers, namely, Son and Johila. The River Son is one of the biggest rivers of India and is as important to the locals as the River Narmada is. At the inception point of the Son River there is a small temple that is called the Son Udgam Temple, and is usually visited by a number of devotees from all over India. The site is also famous as a view point and perfect for clicking jaw-dropping pictures of the scenic terrain.

  • It's awesome.. lots of trees and also 🐒 monkey.. be aware of them ,don't keep any food item in your hand otherwise they will snatch it from keep you food out of their sight. Despite monkey the place is peace full and full of sprituality.

  • Good sun rise view, lots of monkey, be careful. Do not take any food inside.

  • Sonmuda is the udgam sthal of Sone and Bhadra rivers situated few kilometers from Amarkantak on a well paved road. They both originate adjacently and also the Bhadra river confluences with Sone River right next to where it originates. This place is also home to lots of monkeys and langurs.

  • Very holy place and a very beautiful natural view realiase the nature you have to go there by walk from Namada Kund.

  • It is called the raising of Son river and a beautiful sunset point.
